Rezumat
A hypothetical image of the Evangelical Church, of the Rotunda and of the Altemberger House from Sibiu identified in the Altarpieces painting from Sorostin (Sibiu County)
The study of the panel painting of the altarpiece from Şoroştin (Sibiu County) has attracted our attention towards architectural elements which can be hypothetical attributed to buildings existing in the cityscape of Sibiu at the beginning of the 16th Century. The buildings to which we refer are the Parochial Evangelic church and the rotunda from the Huet Square, as well as the Altemberger House, nowadays hosting the Museum of History from Sibiu. All these buildings can be hypothetical identified in the “Carrying of the Cross” themed panel painting from Şoroştin.
