The Prince and the Reflector
The study analizes the concept of feminity in Dana Dumitriu’s prose, focusing mainly on the novel Prinţul Ghica / Prince Ghica, apparently one of the last suitable and profitable in what regards this aspect of feminity –first of all, because the main character is a man, and secondly because the novel is a historical one, the personal involvement of the authoress being therefore inherently bowdlerized, as all confessions are made through representatives. Nevertheless, the author of the study surpasses this inconvenients, proving that the thorough analysis of the authoress’s feminine ambassador within the fiction annihilates this prejudices.
