Câteva consideraţii privitoare la sculptura figurativă din bisericile romanice săseşti din Transilvania
Rezumat
Several Reflections Concerning the Figurative Sculpture in the Romanesque Churches of the Transylvanian Saxons
The present study contains some brief observations concerning the defining elements of the Romanesque sculpture, observed in the churches of the Transylvanian Saxon communities. In the works already published, we have found that there is a provincial component of Romanesque architecture and sculpture, mainly due to the rural communities in which these were built. Beyond the rural specificity, in sculpture is a consistent thematic repertoire is present, with a well-defined moralizing character.
