Unitatea și unificarea limbii în discuțiile din presa transilvană din secolul al XIX-lea

Rezumat

The Unity and the Unification of Language in the Discussions of the Transylvanian Press in the 19th Century

In Transilvania, most of the publications mirrored the fight for political unity. The majority of the editors and the collaborators were interested in the unity and unification of the language and suggested concrete ways of accomplishing it by pointing out the common nature of the language, reconsidering its Latin origin, organizing a scientific leadership in the field able to fulfilling the unity of the language at all its levels: vocabulary, phonetics and grammar. A special attention is given to the development of the national- patriotic feeling, the result of a close connection between language and nation.
