Linguistic Treasure And Cultural Identity In Slănic Prahova
The article approaches the origins of local culture in the area of Slănic Prahova, as a double identity space. Based on an ethnological case study conducted in this area since 2014, the article highlights the landmarks that render the originality of the preserving area of traditions and customs, namely rural and urban. The local culture in the Slănic Prahova area has been manifested since the establishment of the city, outlining a rare social space that includes two types of structures: on the one hand there is a rural environment, known by the authentic preservation of the customs and traditions of this area, on the other hand, an urban structure outlined by urban settlements (blocks, cultural institutions, commercial companies.). The article also focuses on the importance of the linguistic elements present in the folkloric creations and their preservation over time.
