Rezumat
Reception paradigms of Mircea Ivănescu’s poetics
This essay tries to define the specifics in Mircea Ivănescu’s poetics. Considered as one of the most important poets in Romanian literature after the Second World War, he is often remembered as a very important centre of the new literature in the 80s and after the Romanian Revolution in 1989. His influential style and his innovative way of writing are elements in a larger discussion on the situation of literary centers and literary background. Often remembered as an alternative to the central canon of neo-modernism, Mircea Ivănescu represents the first step towards an American-influenced literary heritage and one of the most complex figures of Romanian poetry: between erudition, bookish style and transitivity. The essay also tries to explain the manner in which contemporary Romanian literature has been modulated by the heritage of his poetry and translations and to observe the stereotypes in the most important critic interpretations as some symptoms of the literary possibilities of specific decades.
