Considered as the founding father of Romanian sociology, Dimitrie Gusti’s name is fundamentally connected with this discipline’s evolution in our country. Through his mentorship attitude and reformatory vision, through his influence on his disciples and the institutions he created, through all actions of social interventions he proposed and all ideological positions he promoted and also through his administrative and political functions Dimitrie Gusti became one of the interwar public figures that influenced deeply the Romanian society from that period.
This paper shortly reviews all article included in a thematic item of “Sociologie Românească” (Romanian Sociology) journal entitled “Dimitrie Gusti in the socio-political Romanian thinking”.
