Rezumat
Cioran’s Relation with History. His French Writings
This article tries to make a synthesis of the relationship Cioran had with history. The thinker continued in his French writings the same connection with history which obsessed him alongside his life, but he gave up the idea of the Romanian inability to make history, in order to orient himself towards the Western possibilities, especially of the French environment to conceive history. Cioran will be an antidemocratic all his life, but he disguises these authoritarian endeavors and he transfers to the West the minuses he identified in his youth as being Romanians.
