Rezumat
Moments in the development of Romanian literary language: “The Palia from Orăștie”
The first two books of the Bible are known in Romanian culture as Palia, named after the slavonic term. In Oraștie they were translated and published in 1582 and had a major influence over the romanian literary language. Our paper analyze the reasons why this part of the Old Testament had such an impact on the evolution of romanian language.
