Il miglior fabbro Radu Cosaşu is a romanian prose writer whose work, begun with youthful enthusiasm under the influence of the socialist ideology, does not resemble anything that was written later in Romanian literature. A work which, without necessarily disturbing the ideology that crosses time, inconvenience: through the intelligence of the author, through stylistic and technical ingenuity, through culture, through the essayst nonchalantly. Each of his books is made on the principle of the undifferentiated genres so even poems are outright as newspaper articles. The great art of Radu Cosaşu’ writing lies in this blend of journalism and diarism, in the autofictional report (which the author says that he knows nothing seriously), in the inherent musicality of his works and in the instinctive gift of the discursive registers balance.
