Punctul de cotitură


The turning point

The 1929 Drăguș campaign was a turning point in the series of monographic campaigns. Here the modus operandi, as well as the scientific and social agenda of Gusti’s disciples were put to the test and perfected. Also this was the scene of the scientific conversion of Mircea Vulcănescu, who will become the coordinator of the research of the “economic manifestations” of the monographed villages. The present text explains the particular significance of the 1929 campaign as well as the importance of the special issue of the „Transilvania” magazine dedicated entirely to this campaign.
