Poetry qua individuation
The present article is focused on one direction of contemporary Romanian poetry – namely the post-confessional one. More specifically, it aims to present Radu Vancu’s poetical credo as it appears in his critical books and essays, and especially in „Poetry and Individuation”. His theoretical construct is based on the impossibility of separating the biographical ego and the artistic ego and on his conviction that there is a contiguity between what we live and what we write, in other words that „poetry is individuation”. Its most important function is the upgrading of the writer as a person, and thus modifying the existence of the author.
