Book Notes in the Old Romanian Book Fund at
the Library of the Romanian Academy in Cluj-Napoca
The content of this study comprehends a description of the existing corpus of book notes in the Old Romanian Book Fund at the Library of the Romanian Academy in Cluj-Napoca. Thus, all the categories of annotations belonging to this Fund are displayed and their contents are being analyzed. It is insisted upon the importance of book notes as sources of information with a documentary value. Likewise, the present study brings up the practice of such notes and their importance as a cultural representative act of Romanian culture in the period between 1508 and 1830.
