During the last decades of the XVIIIth century, the school environment of Transylvania developped under the directives of the emperor’s enlightened absolutism from Wien. A special attention was granted to the didactic literature in naţional languages. Many handbooks were published in Romanian : primers, catechisms, Arithmetîcs handbooks, agriculture handbooks. These last ones were treating both the usual occupations (tillage, breeding) and some special ones like beekeeping or breeding silk worms. We present here two of these agriculture handbooks: Ioan Tomici, Cultura albinelor (şi) Cultura bombiţelor, Buda, 1823.
