The Birth, Development, and Culturalization of Mărginimea Sibiului
Throughout the times, in the depth of any stable community traditions are born; the respective customs help the community both to resist in time and maintain intercultural exchanges with other communities. As transmitted from ancestral heritage, they can have a massive cultural impact on future generations, making them negotiate their search for renewal with their sensibility towards the past and the hostorical patrimony. Mărginimea Sibiului is an intercultural area known for its cultural heritage which was born, promoted and preserved for a long time, without being heavily impregnated by the sometimes unfavorable influences of globalization. The crafts, the popular harbor, the gastronomy and the lifestyle of the people from Mărginimea Sibiului make the area a very desirable destination for anthropologists and tourists, too.
