Rezumat
Proper Names, Lexical Creativity and Cartoon Channels
The present study continues the author’s long-standing interest in the exploration of the linguistical features specific to the translation of cartoon series into Romanian. In the following pages, the attention is focused on the topic of the translation of cartoons’ proper names into Romanian. From toponyms to commercials and character names, the author discusses thoroughly the surprising and mostly non-normative forms which English names take into Romanian version.
