Monica Avram, Florin Bogdan, Cărţi româneşti vechi tipărite la Viena aflate în colecţiile Bibliotecii Teleki-Bolyai din Târgu-Mureş

Old Romanian Books Printed in Vienna Part of the Collections
of Teleki-Bolyai Library from Târgu-Mureş
Although book production printed in the Romanian area increased constantly throughout the XVIIIth century, due to social, cultural and political circumstances, towards the end of this century, there will be also printed Romanian books in some typographical centres from Europe, such as Buda or Vienna. We focused on copies of Romanian book printed in Vienna which are also part of the funds of Teleki-Bolyai Library from Târgu-Mureş. The mentioned fund preserves 21 Romanian books printed in Vienna, between 1785 and 1826,
representing 16 titles. The books are either laic or religious, compact volumes or leaflets. By their introduction to the scientific lexicon and presentation of handwritten notes from their pages, we take one step forward as far as valorization of the important fund of Romanian book from the library from Târgu-Mureş is concerned.
