A poem of Heidegger
Foreword to Todtnauberg by Paul Celan
The encounter of Martin Heidegger with Paul Celan in philosopher’ chalet in Todtnauberg is subject to many interpretations and polemics, starting with the lines written by poet in the chalet’ guestbook, rephrased then in a poem also called Todtnauberg, which express the hope for “a word to come” regarding the thinker’s early political engagement. Less known is Heidegger’s answer… in the form of a poem.
Keywords: Celan, Heidegger, Todtnauberg, hermeneutics, political engagement, dialogue
