Purification for Gheorghe Crăciun: ”Pupa russa” from novel to script
The present study contains the analysis of the attempt of turning the novel “Pupa russa”, written by Gheorghe Crăciun, into a script. All stages, all levels of intervention and the difficulties of this operation are described. The differences between the literary text and one of the possible cinematographic visions are shown. The dramaturgic qualities and defects of the novel are marked, respectively the possibilities and the limits of the screening.
