Matthias Flacius Illyricus
He was one of the most important scientists and clergymen of the Renaissance. Matthias Flacius Illyrircus had an Istro-Romanian origin and, due to his Lutheran fidelity, Martin Luther himself has assimilated him as one of his ”Nostris notissimus homo et magnae fidei”. He has also functioned as a Magister in Jena. The study below presens his major influence in the distribution of the Lutheran ideas in Europe during the Reform.
