Rezumat
Emil Cioran’s Humour: A Brief Note
While merely introducing the issue of Cioran’s humour, I widen the area of my investigation to include registers of irony as an instance of his discursive construction. I do so in order to illustrate the cathartic valences of humour and the virulence of sarcasm with reference to the paradoxical diversity of imbrications of literature, linguistics, philosophy and metaphysics that is achieved through the deconstruction of the tragic.
