The present study deals with an important edited book from the 17th century, significant for the modern Romanian culture, both at theological and linguistic level.
Monk Silvestru’s translation according to Ruthenian Kiril Tranquillon Stavrovetsky’s homiliary had its importance and significance in Matei Bassarb’s cultural and spiritual age of protection “against the Greeks”. The critical edition of the Education Gospel (Evanghelia învăţătoare) represents a veracious achievement for the history of the Romanian culture.
