About Istro-Romanians. Short analysis of scientific sources
The following study deals with the challenges raised by the historic, ethnographic and politic problem of the Romanian habitants of Istria, called the Istro-Romanians. They represent an ancient branch of the Daco-Romanian populations. The history the traditions, the ways of acting and feeling were mentioned and analyzed, during the time passing, by Romanian researchers as Ioan Maiorescu, Teodor Burada, Leca Morariu, Sextil Puscariu. One of the main directions of our study brought into the discussion, the most important sources like: literary memoirs, journals, history books and articles, journals, debating the major challenge – Istro- Romanians. The outstanding conclusion which arise from the article refers to the Istro-Romanians, as a complex issue, never ended, including more and more research potential.
