Ion Stratan. The new direction in the poetics of the generation ‘80
As one of the most important poets of the generation ‘80, Ion Stratan elaborated a complex poetical universe, inside which he made possible the aparently implausible gemination of poetics illustrated both by highly reflexive and metaphysical poets (such as Ion Barbu or Nichita Stănescu) and by transitive and colloquial poets of the everyday life, such as most of his fellow poes of the generation of the eighties. The author of the present study minutely observes the emergence of this new direction proposed and imposed by Ion Stratan’s poetry and its effects and influence in the poetry of the youngest generation of Romanian poets.
