The Ontology of the Miracle. On How the World is Beautiful
The present paper discusses the premises of ontology of the miracle, by taking into account three different cultural frameworks: theological (A. Scrima), artistic (A. Tarkovski) and urban/secular (W. Benjamin). Each time, the miracle proves itself to be not an extraordinary and spectacular event beyond understanding, but a possibility of the world itself, to be found within its fluid material texture. The material caracter of the miracle, along with its ontological fringe are its main distinctive marks which are being analysed from the perspective of the three authors mentioned above. From a subjective perspective, the answers given to such a particular reality of the world, the miraculous (seen as transcendence within the world), are taken into account in each of the three cases.
