Rezumat
Snippets From The History Of Interwar School Sport At “Andrei Șaguna” High School Of Brașov
The article draws a picture of sports activities in the interwar period, involving the “Andrei Şaguna” High School in Braşov, an elite educational institution in Transylvania. Among the sportive regional competitions in which they frequently participated in, are watchman celebrations, the athletic contest organized by the Braşov Physical Education service, the inter-school competition for athletics in the region, organized by the School Inspectorate, handball, volleyball, football competitions and ping-pong. Of particular importance was the “Zaharia Florian Cup” / “Ski Schools Cup”, held annually in Poiana Braşov, which also involved other educational institutions in the area, such as the Saxon School of Commerce, the Romanian School of Commerce, the School of Arts and Crafts, the C.F.R. Apprentice School, the Roman Catholic High School, the Meşotă High School and the Honterus High School.
