Rezumat
“Exaltation of a Shipwrecked”. Annotations to a Dictionary of Cioranian Terms
The entries in a Dictionary of Cioranian terms could highlight the dynamics of the lexicon, the semantic profile and text stylistics of an author who is known to have manifested himself with the same linguistic complexity, both in Romanian and in French. The syntagm exaltation of a shipwrecked, used by the philosopher, translates, in metaphorical regime, the whole functioning mechanism of his thinking. The aphoristic and philosophical discourse
is welded around dominant figures of the language, such as semantic polarity, paradox or antinomy. The advantage of such a lexicographic work consists also in the creation of a network of significance, of a unique syntagmatic topos, in which, in plain view or in subsidiary, a whole universe of semantic contrasts is concentrated. In opposition to the
expectations and the fragmentary style which is cultivated, on large spaces, by the philosopher, this stylistic variety exists within a paradoxical system of thinking.
