Ecouri pauline despre limbă în cărţile vechi româneşti
Paulinian echos about language in old Romanian books
The study realizes an analysis of the effects on Romanian grounds of a rather unfrequented passage from Saint Paul’s First Epistle to the Corinthians (see the Ist Epistle to the Corinthians, 14:19). The Apostle’s words offer solid grounds to the necessity of the Bible’s translation in the vernacular languages; the author attempts a thorough reading of the translations of the specified passage in the old Romanian books from the 16th and the 17th centuries and its comments and interpretations within the historical context.
