Electronic publishing in a digital age

Library collections and services had been adapted to the needs of the community, electronic resources becoming an integral part of any library. The emergence of digital libraries was a natural consequence of the documents’ digitization process. After a brief history of the digital services in libraries, the advantages of electronic publishing are presented, advantages for authors, readers and libraries, they facilitating acces and presentation of the scientific information.
