Rezumat
Church, politics and culture in the Century of Lights. A book about the Union with the Church of Rome
The book we are referring to presents a first stage of the works of a research team supported by the Pro Oriente Foundation from Vienne and coordinated by Johann Marte, Viorel Ioniţă, Iacob Mârza, Laura Stanciu şi Ernst Christoph Suttner, and with the purpose to retell the events from the beginning of the movement for the Union of the Romanians in Transylvania up to the year 1761; this first volume ending with year 1701. The scope of the individual articles drawn up on the basis of a preestablieshed theme list and following the pattern of the lexicon texts, is to present the events in order to obtain a common understanding of the events, understanding that should not lead to unchristian conflicts between the different religious groups.
