Rezumat
Eminescu’s ironical way of deconstruction
The urban medium is multicultural and these varied cultures cannot be blended into one unified organism, they only create a simulacrum of certain possibilities. Thus there must be an apparatus of some reparatory nature that can equilibrate the powers of those cultures. Poetry is of such nature and its social function appears constantly in the writings of Eminescu. For him, irony becomes an instrument used to highlight the grotesque picture that emerged from intermixing the cultures.
