Rezumat
Contributions to the Study of Romanian Diplonacy in North Africa (1989-2019).
Cooperation with the Kingdom of Morocco
Recently, we celebrated fifty-seven years since the establishment of diplomatic relations on an embassy level between Romania and the Kingdom of Morocco. What was the basis of the political engagement between the two countries, but also which were the concrete results of this cooperation of more than half a century? Last but not least: where do we situate ourselves today and which are our objectives? The present paper sets out to contribute to a better knowledge of the diplomatic relations between Romania and the Arab-African world, with special reference to the Kingdom of Morocco. The main idea is in fact a combination of various connected themes: Romanian diplomacy in Northern Africa (the Maghreb), the Euro-Mediterranean space, a territory ripe in specific cultures and civilizations, and the rising security challenges or threats in contemporary society.
