Rezumat
Inter-School Sport Contests from Blaj that took place during the Inter-War Period
The article focuses on inter-school sport contests from Blaj that took place during the inter-war period, held in the course of the events celebrating the Blaj Assembly of 3/15 May 1848. Besides various other activities (festival, festive concert, mass and Te Deum at the Metropolitan Cathedral, pilgrimage at the graves of the tribunes), the official program of Blaj festivities’ also included gymnastics contests. Thus, between 1921-1928 and 1933-1934, „Little Roma” becomes the center of bahis siteleri some „veritable school Olympiads” attended both by civil and military education institutions throughout Romania. The attempts of reviving these festivities between 1938-1939 have been doomed to failure as a cause of the events happening on the international political scene.
