Rezumat
Illustrations from the Books of Economy Printed in Buda (1810-1823)
The Romanian economic thought came out at the end of the 18th century when there occurred a passage from the agricultural experience of the tiller to the agronomical literature. Joseph II and then his descendants initiated the programme of economic, sanitary, technical and industrial education of the rural population. The present study is intended to analyze the technical plates of big size found in four economic writings, published in Buda: Plate with Tools (signed Binder sc.) in Ludovic Mitterpacher’s book, „Învăţătura despre bumbac” [“Teaching of cotton”], Buda, 1810; Plate I and II (signed Wokál sc.) in „Învăţătură de a face sirup şi zahăr” [“Teaching of how to make syrup and sugar”], by Ioan Neuhold, Buda, 1812; “Table” (signed Lehnhardt sc. Pest) in „Cultura albinelor” [“Culture of Bees”] by Ioan Tomici, Buda, 1923, and the Plate in „Învăţătură pentru lucrătorii de tabacă” [“Teaching for the tabacco workers”], Buda 1823.
