Rezumat
Children’s poetry and Propaganda in the Communist textbooks
The article sustains that the politicization of culture and literature during the Romanian communist era is reflected on the content of the literature published in the textbooks. Children’s poetry, turned into a propaganda tool, is designed to achieve ideological goals. Despite the frequent changes that will take place in the educational system during the more than forty years of communist rule in Romania, one element remains constant, the perfect control of every written piece, the presence of ideology to saturation. The purpose of the communist regime is to change reality according to its ideological claims. All children’s poetry subordinated to the propaganda machine has the function to embellish the reality and to educate young minds in the communist spirit.
