Rezumat
A dissertation on Josephine reformism in Transylvania published in Jena in the second half of the nineteenth century
The complexity of the reform policy of the Emperor Joseph II (b. 1741 – d. 1790) have stimulated numerous historiographical researches that attempted to capture the general features of the period. The reign of Joseph II meant, beyond the theoretical point of the political norm, a considerable effort, quantitatively and qualitatively speaking, in order to accomplish the implementation of tools to support this process. For these reasons, the work entitled “Die Reformen Kaiser Josef II. in Siebenbürgen” by Wilhelm Bruckner, a lawyer from Sibiu, can be a natural addition that comes to complete the perception regarding the directions, dimensions and long-term consequences of political reform act claimed by Joseph II in the second half of the nineteenth century in Transylvanian space. “Die Reformen Kaiser Josef II. in Siebenbürgen” represents the doctoral dissertation of the lawyer Wilhelm Bruckner, supported and published at the University of Jena in 1867. The work, published in the W. Ratz printing house is known in the historiography of Germany
and Romania.
